In collaboration with national consulting firms and mental health professionals across the state, we revealed three populations in critical need of improvements to mental health care in Texas: veterans, children, and those in our criminal justice system.

Priority Issues

In addition to the critical needs of specific populations, research has also identified acute mental health resource and policy issues with far-reaching implications challenging the state at every level. From the largest urban centers to the smallest communities dotting Texas’ expansive rural regions, these issues affect the health and future of Texas and impact the lives of every Texan.
